What is Varikosette?

Varikosette is a cream with six different ingredients that helps to relieve pain, strengthen the veins and prevent blood clots. These six ingredients are aloe Vera gel, extract of the Butcher’s Broom root, cedar extract, goldenrod extract, Muscat and argon oil and methyl lactose. In addition, there  are a number of vitamins in the cream.

This cream should help against varicose veins. Varicose veins are caused by certain valves in the veins of your legs not working as well. These valves ensure that the blood in your veins can flow back up when you stand ( source ). In some cases varicose veins lead to other complaints . Usually these are harmless; for example itching or mild tremors, but the complications can also be more serious.

Not everyone gets varicose veins, but certain groups of people are more at risk. Sitting cross-legged is a risk, as is wearing tight clothing such as leggings and thongs. Unfortunately, women also have a higher risk of varicose veins than men due to their hormone balance ( source ).

Who is Varikosette suitable for?

Varikosette promises to do something about varicose veins, but can everyone use the drug safely? The cream contains no known allergens. To be sure, you can first apply the cream to a small piece of your skin to see if the cream has no adverse effects on your skin, such as irritation or other unpleasant effects.

Is Varikosette Effective?

As you are used to from us, we have tested Varikosette on a number of women who have varicose veins. All the women in our study suffered from a mild form of varicose veins, sometimes with some ailments such as itching and tremors.

All women, five in total, applied the Varikosette cream to both legs for a month. At the end of this month, we looked back at old photos to see if results had been achieved.

Unfortunately , the results after a month were quite depressing . None of the women had noticed an improvement. The complaints were not over and the varicose veins were not less visible. However, the skin of the legs was a bit smoother and more intact. The agent also absorbs quickly, so that you do not get stains in clothing.

Why is Varikosette not so Effective

The fact that Varikosette does not work so well may have to do with the effect of the ingredients. We list the most important components.

Aloe Vera

There has been research that shows that aloe vera stimulates blood circulation, but this is very superficial ( source ). Aloe vera can therefore work to help heal a wound, but its influence does not extend to the arteries.

Butcher’s Brooms carrot

Yes, Butcher’s Brooms root helps with vein problems, but unfortunately only if you ingest it ( source ). Nothing is known about a positive effect of applying this root to the skin.

Cedrat Extract

Cedrat contains a substance called Rutin. This substance has positive effects on the blood, but the influence when lubricating this agent is limited to the skin ( source ).

Goldenrod Extract

Goldenrod extract is one of the few ingredients that does what it’s supposed to do. The extract can be used to combat inflammation of the skin. It should also do this according to the packaging ( source ).

Argan and Muscat Oil

Argan and nutmeg oil help to moisturize the skin ( source ). This is interesting, but does not directly affect varicose veins, because the cause is deeper.

Menthyl lactose

Our scientist has not quite managed to unravel what exactly this is. Possibly ethyl lactate is meant. This remedy has an effect against acne.

What does it cost?

A pack of Varikosette costs 20$ . How long you use this strongly depends on the size of the area to be treated.

Benefits of varikosette

Strangely enough, Varikosette ensures that the skin on the legs becomes a bit smoother . This is not quite the intent of the cream, but rather a result of the goldenrod and argan oil in the cream. These help against inflammation and provide hydration.

None of the subjects noticed any improvement when it came to the varicose veins. This was exactly what they were all about.

Varikosette unfortunately does not work. That’s a shame, because many women (and men) yearn for a good solution for varicose veins. The only good thing that Varikosette does is make the skin a little smoother.
